It's Monday, Already

The weekend was a blur...lots going on.
It all started on Friday with the Men's Conference at FBCW. Wow, is all that can be said! Over 8,000 men coming together for an awesome conference. Jake was super busy with the recording of the sessions, overseeing the duplication, and all Dad's product sales. I guess I could have been helping, but the "girls" all decided to go out. I didn't want to miss anything, so I went with them. :) Us going out has become somewhat of a tradition while the guys are at the Men's Conference each year. The conference continued Saturday until around 12:30. After most of the men had cleared out I did go hang out with Jake some. The Lord greatly blessed the conference, and we are grateful for that!
Sundays have always been busy days for me growing up in a Pastor's house and they still continue to be busy days. This past Sunday was a full day. We had the priviledge of having Mike Huckabee visit our morning worship services. He gave an awesome testimony of Jesus saving him and changing his life. He went on to say how that was the most important thing that has ever happened to him...how being elected Governor was an honor, but not above his salvation. It was great to hear this from a Presidential candidate. There was lots of excitement surrounding his visit. Mom took some pictures and even one of Miss Priss with Mike Huckabee, you'll have to see those on her blog. Miss Priss always sits on the front row with Mom on Sunday mornings, so this week it was Mom on one side and Mike Huckabee on her other side.
On top of all that BBC was at the church this weekend recording Dad and our services for a special they are putting together about Mega-Churches in the U.S. They had a recorder on Dad from the time he arrived at the church until he left that afternoon. It recorded everything he said and all that was said to him. That so made me want to go up and tell Dad some kind of crazy stuff! I also thought it was pretty funny that it even went to the bathroom with him! HaHa This had all been planned before we found out about Mike Huckabee visiting, so there sure were alot of video cameras and photographers around between BBC and the media.
On top of all the hoopla, Dad had an awesome message. We also were celebrating the fact that it has been 1 year since we started the 11:00 service in the chapel. This week it was jammed packed and chairs had to put in the aisles. We have seen awesome growth and excitement about what's to come.
None of this would be possible without the Lord and His blessing! Our family starts this week being grateful! Grateful not just for a wonderful weekend, but a wonderful life God has blessed us with and great friends to share life with.
