Bristol Motor Speedway
Wow, what a racetrack! We arrived in Bristol Monday night and got the RV parked and situated. Tuesday was a tech day for us and the Craftsman Trucks had their practice. Wednesday was more practice for our series, qualifying, and race day. We had a good day, but it was incredibly HOT!! I can't remember ever being so hot for such a long time, as I was Wednesday. It didn't help that we had to wear long pants, shirts with sleeves, and closed toe shoes. Anyway, we qualified 25th out of 50 cars. Once the race started we were doing good, starting to pass some cars, but early in the race we got mixed up in someone's wreck. We were able to stay in the race and the damage wasn't real bad, but after any kind of damage it's hard to have a really good night! We ended up finishing 26th. We had a really fun few days, and were glad we took home a car pretty much in one piece cause it could've been alot worse!

Lindsey
Ok, somehow Lindsey's name has not made it to the blog yet. How could that be possible considering she "lives" with us? Everyone should know that Linds is my cousin and goes to college at Liberty University. When she not at school (which happens often) she is probably with us or with her boyfriend/someday husband Taylor... oh actually they both are probably with us!! We love it and always have fun when they're around. This picture is from last weekend at Leanne and BJ's wedding. Congrats Leanne and BJ!!! Anyway, we couldn't leave out Lindsey. There is one more important person I haven't talked about much, at least not on the blog. That will be something coming up real soon.

Here Hollie...
So my sister says, "You need to update your blog". So here I am! I just posted something last week, but I guess it's time again. Hollie needs to know what's up! Like she doesn't know!?! Like I don't talk to her 700 times a day!?!
Ok well, I am at the beach this week with Kim. She came to our condo with me! My Mom came too and brought Marty with her. They are at Mom's condo. We are having fun!! Eating, laying on the beach, eating some more.... so our days go! We went to the movies last night, and it started at 10:20 central time, 11:20 in Woodstock. It's a miracle I didn't fall asleep! I almost wish I had cause I didn't really like the movie we saw. Today we are just hanging on the beach, then going to The Red Bar for dinner tonight. Kim's brother Brian is down here on vacation and today is his birthday. Happy Birthday Brian! We are planning to see them for dinner tonight. But remember this is the beach so we are Laid Back. No plan is definite. (except chillin' on the beach) :)
Alright, that's what's up this week. I'm heading back to Woodstock Friday night, then going to the large town of Cumming to get ready for Carson to race Saturday. Yay fun! Next week it's off to Bristol Motor Speedway to race!!! Pray for a good race and a fun time. Talk to you later!

Back to School
Today was the kid's 1st day back to school. We got back to Woodstock last night around 10:00, and got up bright and early this morning for school. They both were excited about starting back. I was not sure if I was quite ready for it so soon, but it's all good! Miss Priss started 4th grade and Little Man started 3rd grade. My, how fast they grow up!

Celebrations
Did I mention we have lots of special occasions that have just happened and one coming up soon?!? We "partied" hard for Little Man's 8th birthday June 25, then again for Miss Priss's 9th birthday on July 27! Jake and I also celebrated our 13th anniversary on July 30th. Wow! Has it really been that long? Time flys when you are having fun, and when you are married to the greatest guy in the world!! AWWW... makes you wanna gag, huh? Oh well, at least we're still in love after this many years! Next on the list is Jake's birthday coming up on August 30th. Maybe it's time to have a "shindig". Good excuse to, at least. OK well that's it for now. See ya!
