Happy Birthday Addie!

Today was Addie Bug's 4th birthday. We started celebrating Saturday with a big Princess party (see Hollie's blog for details and pictures) and worked up to the big day today. Tonight me and Miss Priss went with Hollie, Pete, Hope and Addie to the American Girl Bistro for dinner. It was so cute and the food was good too! They made a special cake just for Addie. I got a few cute pictures of the girls...check out the one of Addie with her new Juicy Couture purse. Yeah, that was from DeeDee!
Happy Birthday Addie! We Love You!

Fun Friday Night

A little healthy competition is always good!
After a delicious dinner at P.F. Chang's, we went to Andretti's to play some games and race go-karts. SO FUN!!! You know how we are about racing, and since it's off- season right now we got a little "fix" last night. Or maybe we just made ourselves more anxious for our racing to get back started.
The kids raced on the junior track first. Then came the real racing. Jake, Taylor, Jody, and Brian were pumped. Me, Lindsey, Kim, and Tonya were looking hot in our helmets! After the 1st race Jake aka "Snake" was on top of the speed chart! I don't really remember the order after that! Jake just made sure I remembered who was #1. Miss Muffin, Strawberry Shortcake, RaceGurl, Ms. Thang, T-Pain 98...these were some of our "race names". Here's a few pics we couldn't resist.

We're Back...And We're COLD

We flew out of the 80 degree weather and we're back in the 30 degree temps! We had a wonderful trip to the Bahamas. The kids had more fun at Atlantis than about any resort we've ever been to. We stayed in the new tower The Reef at Atlantis, and loved it. Our suite was spacious and had the decor we love. I have a few pictures of the kids and Jake going down some of the slides and hanging around the resort, but I didn't take alot of pictures. Guess I was too busy soaking up the sun.
Where will we go next??!! After flying home on a small, regional jet, Jake hears PCB calling our names or at least somewhere we can drive to! Flying is not our favorite thing to do...but if it takes you to exciting, warm places it's worth it.
Spring Break is right around the corner...I'm already making my plans!

All Sunshine Here...No Snow

So we hear there was more snow in the ATL today. We did see some sleet early this morning...on our way to the airport at 6:45 am. Early!! We took a 9:45am flight out of town to the Bahamas. We arrived here at 11:40am to sunshine and 82 degrees. It was amazing!
We are at the Atlantis for several days to hang-out. The kids had a couple days out of school, so we decided to take advantage of that. Lots of new stuff has been added to Atlantis since we were here last...2 new towers and lots of more waterslides. The kids are pumped about the slides...I'm pumped about the weather! :)
I'm sure I'll have more to say later about our trip, but for now I'm so tired I can hardly type. Not everyday do I get up before 6:00 in the morning.(no where near that time actually) Stay warm!

Now That's More Like It...

It's Snowing!!

OK, so it may not be alot of snow, but it's still snowing! There are big, fat snowflakes coming down at our house right now. It's so pretty, and sticking to the grassy areas but not the roads. I tried to take a picture, but the snowflakes just will not show up on the camera. The only one that you can see anything on just looks like raindrops.
This is nothing for people up north or people used to being in snow, but for us Southerners IT'S SNOWING!!

My Boys

Yesterday my "boys" went hunting in South Georgia. They are not the typical hunting type for sure, but at least once a year they try and act like they are!
It's the best kind of hunting...have breakfast in the lodge, be taken out in Jeeps with the hunting dogs to the areas where birds have been placed ahead of time, hang out, have fun, shoot some quail, then head back to the lodge for a home-cooked country lunch. Roughin' it, huh?
Well, they had a blast! Little man got to shoot a real shotgun for the first time. He took his BB gun and shot it some too, but the highlight for him was shooting the shotgun. They were shooting skeet and Little man shot one himself! He was very excited.
Good ol' male bonding day.

End to the Holidays...Fun Weekend

The holidays are officially over and the kids are back in school! It's sort of nice to be back to a regular schedule, but in a few days I'll be ready for another break!
Xtreme ended, we got back home, took down all the Christmas decorations, returned the house to its normal state, then decided to head to the beach for a nice, long weekend.
We took the kids to Gulf World while we were in PCB. They were excited and had a blast. My iphone didn't have so much fun at Gulf World. It somehow fell from my lap and landed in Jake's large cup of Mountain Dew! The cup was without a lid because lids and straws can be harmful to the animals...yeah, well no lid was harmful to my iphone!
The weather was beautiful, so we didn't miss out on days in the sun! We also went bowling one night. The kids go bowling with Jake from time to time, but I rarely go. Needless to say, everyone beat me on every game! I won't be taking up a career in bowling anytime soon.
We all had lots of fun.
P.S. I got a new iphone:)
